Hi,
I've just booted 1.3.76 on a P100 with an Adaptec 2940 SCSI controler and 3C590 ethernet card. As this setup was in the post to me, I was horrified to see these two pieces of hardware being slated as unstable under Linux. However, perhaps something was fixed recently as I have yet to see a single problem and am getting teriffic performance (7.5Mb/s disk I/O, 800kb/s ethernet I/O to a local host).
So a big well-done to all.
Actually, I lied. I've seen a couple of "socket destroy delayed" messages, but this is forgivable as at the time I had forgotten to plug the ethernet cable back in, and was attempting first an ftp, then a few pings... surprisingly enough, I got no answers :-)
Cheers Chris
