Hi. I would first like to ask if there is a FAQ for this mailing list so that I don't accidently do something out of line.
Also, when reporting a bug, what information is routinely needed for my question to be answered. Thank you, and I hope this message isn't too out of line.
I recently upgraded from 2.1.10 to 2.1.11. Compilation went fine and the kernel loaded ok. But as soon as I started a shell, my user lost permissions to some group settings I had set up. Upon checking that the group file was secure and the perms on the files I was trying to run were chmodded correctly I concluded that it was the fault of the new kernel. So, I just overwrote the kernel with the backup of 2.1.10 that I had. The permissions on the files weren't changed, only the actual kernel. Everything works fine. Any explanations/fixes?
