Subjectlinux-next: manual merge of the gpio tree with the i2c tree
Hi Linus,

Today's linux-next merge of the gpio tree got a conflict in:

drivers/gpio/gpio-pca953x.c

between commit:

6212e1d6ed40 ("gpio: pca953x: variable 'id' was used twice")

from the i2c tree and commit:

e23efa311110 ("gpio: pca954x: Add vcc regulator and enable it")

from the gpio tree.

I fixed it up (see below) and can carry the fix as necessary. This
is now fixed as far as linux-next is concerned, but any non trivial
conflicts should be mentioned to your upstream maintainer when your tree
is submitted for merging. You may also want to consider cooperating
with the maintainer of the conflicting tree to minimise any particularly
complex conflicts.
