Well, yes. I'm getting VERSION CONFLICT messages, and not that there is no radeon.o module. For the record,
what I get from dmesg is

Linux agpgart interface v0.99 (c) Jeff Hartmann
agpgart: Maximum main memory to use for agp memory: 203M
agpgart: Detected Intel i830M chipset
agpgart: AGP aperture is 256M @ 0xd0000000
[drm] AGP 0.99 on Unknown @ 0xd0000000 256MB
[drm] Initialized radeon 1.1.1 20010405 on minor 0

FWIW I have in the kernel

/dev/agpgart set to Module
I830M support set to Yes
Build old DRM 4.0 drivers set to No
DRM 4.1 ATI Radeon set to Module

So the version of the kernel module is 1.1.1 20010405 (with 2.4.19, AND 2.4.20) , yet the XFree86 drivers need 1.2.* as per the original message in the XFree86.0.log. Why is the kernel using 1.1.1 and not 1.2.* ?

Thx
