When I try to power down my MB (VIA chipset, K6-2, broken Award BIOS)
I get two oops: the first one in the BIOS and the second one in
show_registers().

The kernel was 2.2.5 but I have the same problem with 2.2.11.

I started writing a module which goes to real mode (with the code from
arch/i386/kernel/process.c) and executes INT 15h but so far it just
reboots when/after jumping to the hand coded assembly code block.
