Hi !
Is there anyone who could help me ?
My ppp connections hangs when I'm using the 2.2 kernels (tested 2.2.0, 2.2.1, 2.2.6). Sometimes just for seconds, sometimes for minutes.
I haven't had this problem with 2.0.36.
I've tried the following without success: - updated to ppp 2.3.7 - updated to Netscape Communicator 4.5 (what I'm using my ppp for) - disabled Van Jacobson style TCP/IP header compression with option novj
dmesg gives the following messages: PPP BSD Compression module registered PPP Deflate Compression module registered
And at boot time I get a message that I don't understand: SIOCADDRT: Invalid argument
The error messages in syslog file looks like this: Apr 21 04:01:52 darkstar pppd[292]: rcvd [LCP EchoRep id=0x10 magic=0x55e37fab] Apr 21 04:02:00 darkstar pppd[292]: rcvd [Compressed data] 01 06 74 0e 00 91 d0 53 ... I'm not on this mailing list, so Cc to me would be nice.
Bye, Steffen
