1. Unable to handle NULL pointer dereference at virtual address 00000004
2. This Oops happens occasionally, at least once a week, when I exit from applications. I cannot reproduce it and can't find any specific offending application - sometimes it happens when I exit from Midnight Commander, sometimes when I simply disconnect from the Internet.
3. Kernel
4. Linux version 2.2.13 (root@Localhost) (gcc version egcs-2.91.66 19990314 (egcs-1.1.2 release)) #1 Fri Nov 19 19:10:22 GMT 1999
5. ksymoops 0.7c on i686 2.2.13. Options used -V (default) -k /proc/ksyms (default) -l /proc/modules (default) -o /lib/modules/2.2.13/ (default) -m /usr/src/linux/System.map (default)
Warning: You did not tell me where to find symbol information. I will assume that the log matches the kernel and modules that are running right now and I'll use the default options above for symbol resolution. If the current kernel and/or modules do not match the log, you can get more accurate output by telling me the kernel version and where to find map, modules, ksyms etc. ksymoops -h explains the options.
No modules in ksyms, skipping objects No ksyms, skipping lsmod Warning (merge_maps): no symbols in merged map current->tss.cr3=03f59000, %cr3=03f59000 CPU: 0 EIP: 0010: [<c012e052>] Using defaults from ksymoops -t elf32-i386 -a i386 EFLAGS: 00010007 eax: 00000000 ebx: c3a65010 ecx: c3ece3c8 edx: 00000000 esi: c3a6500c edi: c3a65000 ebp: 00000287 esp: c3ffbef0 ds: 0018 es: 0018 ss: 0018 Process init (pid: 1, process nr: 1, stackpage=c3ffb000) Stack: c3a65000 00000001 c012e3cd c3a65000 0000002a 0000000b c1bd7038 0000002a 0000011c 0000000b c3ffa000 7fffffff 00000000 c3a65000 c012e7d4 0000000b c3ffbf70 c3ffbf6c 00000000 bffffae0 c3ffbfc0 bffffac4 c1bd7034 00000004 Call trace: [<c012e3cd>] [<c012e7d4>] [<c010de86>] [<c0109dd0>] Code: 8b 42 04 39 d8 75 f7 89 4a 04 55 9d 8b 06 50 e8 4a 7e ff ff
