Hello,
Parden me if this msg has been answered already. Can someone point me to the kernel message archive?
Here is my problem: I am loosing characters when I use minicom and use mouse to cut/paste the AT commands. Command such as 'AT+FCLASS=?', when I type it on minicom works fine, but when I cut/paste it I only get ATC or ATF and nothing more. kernel 2.0.36 doesn't have this behavior.
Earlier problem: I noticed the problem when I was installing hylafax when 'faxaddmodem' could not be completed due to the error while detecting the class of my fax modem (USR Sportster 28.8, supports CLASS 1,2.0). 'faxaddmodem' uses "AT+FCLASS=?" command to detect the class of modem.
Setting: Slakcware-3.5, libc5.4.46, gcc2.7.2.3, XF86-3.3.3 in rc.local: "setserial /dev/ttyS0 irq 4 port 0x3f8 uart 16550" motherboard is an old Intel Triton, using internal serial port. Modem and serial port functions well. I havn't tried using ppp under 2.[1|2].*
Thanks in adv., ;)
