Looks like pre7 has the same problem as pre6:
gcc -D__KERNEL__ -I/usr/src/linux-2.1/include -Wall -Wstrict-prototypes -O2 -fomit-frame-pointer -pipe -mno-fp-regs -ffixed-8 -mcpu=ev56 -Wa,-m21164a -DBWIO_ENABLED -c -o process.o process.c process.c:59: redefinition of `init_fd_array' process.c:56: `init_fd_array' previously defined here make[1]: *** [process.o] Error 1 make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/linux-2.1/arch/alpha/kernel' make: *** [_dir_arch/alpha/kernel] Error 2
