Hi, I've been having trouble trying out the Alt-SysRQ keys... When I hit Alt-SysRQ-s, for example, the console beeps once at me. showkey -s indeed shows scancode 0x54 for Alt-SysRQ One odd behavior I found was that hitting SysRQ without Alt or Ctrl or anything acts like Alt-SysRQ-k, killing all programs on the current console. My keyboard is a Win95 keyboard. I am going to try this out with two other keyboards shortly.
