Well, just a suggestion, move out the thread from the kernel list, it has something to do with kernel, but not so much to fill it :), I posted the question about e2fsprogs and +2Gb partitions, and really the thing has went a bit further, I mean you aren't Re: OFFTOPIC ....., I know kernel list is so easy, but well, I'm getting many (*really* many) messages a day, and although I do use glibc, and had terrible headaches "pseudoporting" every application I use (that is *every* application :) to glibc and remembered of Drepper's relatives many times ;) I think you are getting angry, and that's no good to Linux, just my opinion, but I think that if Ulrich wants his lib to became a standard quickly he should be more flexible about standards (people don't like so radical changes), but in the other hand, if we (the programmers) want our applications to have a good future should make an effort and make them as portable as we can. So calm down, and please move out the thread (there are glibc specific list, aren't they? )
