Subject2.1.93 crash during compile of C++ software
Date
2.1.93, 32MB Ram, 2 P75 CPUs, glibc 2.0.7, egcs 1.0.1, RedHat 5.0

Clean build and boot, however:

I experienced (twice) my entire system locking on me (power reset required)
when compiling some C++ code (OmniBroker 3.0a8) while running exmh and
Netscape. There was about 20MB of swap allocated at the time of the crash
(according to xosview).

Is this something related to the "swap thrash" issue? Any pointers helpful.
