Okay, I've looked thru the patch named patch-2.0.29-mca-29Dec-1997.gz and there is some code to give more info on the MCA machines when a NMI occurs. The older patches don't do this. If the offender sets the pos registers correctly during the NMI, the NMI handler will tell which slot caused it and print the pertinent registers. At what point in the boot does it happen, or do you get any kernel messages?
Have you tried defining CONFIG_IGNORE_NMI? Does NT run UP or MP?
