Subjectppp and demand dialing with 2.1.84
I'm running a RedHat 5.0 system with 2.1.84 and pppd 2.3.3.  Demand
dialing is turned on and I can successfully bring the link up when
needed. I am having a problem bringing the link down for inactivity.
I've discovered that the reason is I'm getting echo requests every five
seconds from the remote end. Is there a way to get pppd to ignore the
echo requests when considering whether I have an idle link? Following
is a snippet from the debug log:
