I am wrestling with glibc (or libc 6) usage on 2.0.33. I am having stat and lstat problem on nfs mounted file systems. I have read several threads noting the incompatibilities.
The 2.0.33 kernel has many data types that are 16 bits; where glibc has the same data types as 32 bits. I know that Bill Hawes has done a lot of work in this area on 2.1.x. Has anyone done patches to 2.0.33 that allow it to properly interface with glibc? I have reviewed several posts that indicate the direction is to have a set of kernel headers and a set of libc headers. Unfortunately, moving to 2.1.x is not a valid option at this time.
Thanks in advance.
