SubjectGUX MAX and modularized sound driver
Date
From

I have a GUS MAX that is usually set for port 0x220, IRQ 15, DMA 7, and
second DMA 6. Before the modularized sound driver got merged into the 2.1.x
tree, it worked fine. And for the versions where the Ultrasound project driver
works, my board works fine. But I have never been able to convince the new and
"improved" sound driver to work with my board. I'm doing

insmod sound
insmod ad1848
insmod gus io=0x220 irq=15 dma=7 dma16=6

The result of any PCM operation is an obvious IRQ failure and a kernel
message of:

Sound: DMA (output) timed out - IRQ/DRQ config error?

Has anyone gotten the modularized sound driver to work with a GUS MAX? Are
there any known problems that I should be aware of that might be causing my
problems?
