FYI, this is UP, SMP compiles fine (so far) as was the case for pre-2.1.127-3.
gcc -D__KERNEL__ -I/hdb3/usr/src/linux-2.1.127/include -Wall -Wstrict-prototypes -O2 -fomit-frame-pointer -pipe -fno-strength-reduce -m486 -malign-loops=2 -malign-jumps=2 -malign-functions=2 -DCPU=586 -fno-omit-frame-pointer -c -o sched.o sched.c gcc: Internal compiler error: program cc1 got fatal signal 11 make[2]: *** [sched.o] Error 1 make[2]: Leaving directory `/hdb3/usr/src/linux-2.1.127/kernel' make[1]: *** [first_rule] Error 2 make[1]: Leaving directory `/hdb3/usr/src/linux-2.1.127/kernel' make: *** [_dir_kernel] Error 2 cpp: output pipe has been closed
(so far) over now, fails also in smbfs
