A daemon program to send email to specified persons when a new version of the linux development kernel is available, is in:
boneserver.analogic.com 204.178.40.210
via anonymous ftp. It's called /pub/uploads/watcher.tar.gz. In a few hours it will automatically be moved to /pub/downloads/watcher.tar.gz.
It checks ftp.kernel.org at 1 hour intervals from its "random" startup time (so ftp.kernel.org doesn't get pranged on the hour).
