Using kernel 2.0.25 patched with Werner's ATM drivers at version 0.26, we experienced the following.
Untroubled normal operation, but when the machines were left for an amount of time (>several hours) it was noticed that they sometimes started to thrash the hard drives for no apparent reason.
This thrashing would continue until the machine was reset. During this time, it was not possible to interact with the OS (no logins or anything).
We have now upgraded to 2.0.29 and patched with 0.28 of Werner's drivers.
