I think this has been up before, but why is the ip accounting counters only 32 bit? I have a box with four 100 Mbit full duplex net adapters that potentially can make these counters overrun in just 53 seconds.
It isn't that bad in practice but during peek load the counters do overrun in 10-15 minutes.
Is there anything I can do except overloading my postgresql server by storing the data every minut?
