Hi,
My kernel compilation is aborting with the following error message:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- /scsi.a drivers/cdrom/cdrom.a drivers/sound/sound.a drivers/pci/pci.a \ /usr/src/linux/arch/i386/lib/lib.a /usr/src/linux/lib/lib.a /usr/src/linux/arch/i386/lib/lib.a \ -o vmlinux arch/i386/mm/mm.o: In function `search_exception_table': arch/i386/mm/mm.o(.text+0xbd3): undefined reference to `__start___ex_table' arch/i386/mm/mm.o(.text+0xbd8): undefined reference to `__stop___ex_table' arch/i386/mm/mm.o(.text+0xbde): undefined reference to `__stop___ex_table' ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here is what I've installed thus far on my system:
libc-5.4.23 libg++-2.7.2.1 binutils-2.7.0.9 modutils-2.1.23 mount-2.6b-1.i386.rpm sysvinit-2.69 gcc 2.7.2.1 ld.so-1.8.9 Redhat 4.0 distribution
I'm also a little nervious about the sysvinit install. I should have done the non-destructive install but I didn't. However I did backup my orginal sysvinit binaries. If you've ever installed sysvinit-2.69 on any redhat distribution please let me know if there were any problems. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks :) Scott Gray
