SubjectCould this be a kernel problem ????
Hi

I am using 1.3.93 and have just bought a new 1.7G Quantum
disk. I partitioned in under DOS and used it without any problem and I
even run Norton disk diag. on it. DOS can see
all of 1.7G

However I encountered a lot of problem when trying to use it
under Linux. I could partition it, make fs. but when I copy a large
(>1MB) file, chances are that I will get a corrupted
copy of the original on the new disk. It does not happen on every copy
but only about half of the times. "diff" reported that the new copy
is different, but their file sizes are always the same.

My apology if I am on the wrong list.

Appreciate if someone can give me a pointer to my problem.

Andrew
