SubjectRe: 'Interrupt latency' in 1.3
i hate to repeat myself and i know i'm gonna get fl;amed but... i follow the
instructions in the ppp-2.2.0e install guide _to_the_letter_ : ./configure ;
make kernel ; compile the kernel ; back out to ppp-2.2.0e and do a 'make ;
make install | not a problem since following this pattern. and was pulling
about 1.4 to 1.6 Kbs. since sys-linux.c in the pppd directory of ppp-2.2.0e
barfs at something in if_arp.h (MAX_ADDR_SIZE, i think) and ppp-2.2.0e will
not complete the install i am back down as fas as 432 bytes/s this pm. maybe
it's like a magic amulet. but it's been working for me right up thru 1.3.78.
ailts: a great big thankyou to _ALL_ you hackers and programmers and
contibutors to Linux! You have all done an _outstanding_ job. i, for one, am
truly grateful to all of you from Linus right on down the chain. Thankyou,
one and all!
