As reported earlier today, this kernel fails to boot on x86_64 when the
config from
https://lore.kernel.org/stable/fd186a2b-0c62-4942-bed3-a27d72930310@hardfalcon.net/
is used, and I don't get even a single line of warning/error messages
even with earlyprintk=ttyS0 and console=ttyS0 set on the cmdline.

When I revert commit 0977b08c66ad8c9a8133d512c09febfaa422db8d "x86/sme:
Move early SME kernel encryption handling into .head.text", kernel
6.8.5-rc3 works fine on all machines where I've tested it (an Intel
Haswell machine, various Kaby Lake machines, a Coffee Lake machine and
various x86_64 VMs).

Regards
Pascal
