I also had similar problems (and it was mentioned in previous versions review).
Now i've tried to replicate behaviour used by some other panel drivers.

In v1 i had also regulators -> gpios order (like in vendor sources), but i got suggestion that changing it this way
we avoid situation where the panel is starting up, reset and then starting up again.

Yes, i missed it when fixing reset_gpio handling (previously it was done only on power_on, like in vendor driver).
After refactor and spliting code i leaved msleep in both places, where in poweroff it don't have any sense.

I got information that this driver was tested on some tegra 2 based samsung device and it was working.
Samsung Captivate Glide (SGH-i927).

The only one change was that in original driver for that device, there was rotation set.
Currently i'm sending
0xf7, 0x03, 0x00, 0x00
where on that device driver was sending
0xf7, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00
Difference is that when running driver in current shape (sending 0x03), screen is rotated.

So it looks like that panel supports rotation. Should this be added to current driver (for example next patch after gettting initial driver fixed/working/merged),
or it should be handled somewhere in drm/userspace/some other place?
