The problem is the allocator.
-CONFIG_SLUB=y +CONFIG_SLAB=y
With SLUB, I'm getting a handful of kworker processes, as expected.
With SLAB, I'm getting thousands of kworker processes.
Not sure if that's expected behaviour or not.
