Additional info. I took v4.4.16 and add the following to the default x86_64_defconfig: +CONFIG_MMIOTRACE=y +CONFIG_SERIAL_8250_DW=y +CONFIG_MFD_INTEL_LPSS=y +CONFIG_MFD_INTEL_LPSS_PCI=y
The problem is still reproduced. I can't take earlier kernels because the mentioned driver (intel-lpss) was introduced in v4.4.
