Could it have been tool chain specific? We are running
arm-unknown-linux-gnueabi-gcc (GCC) 4.9.0 GNU ld (GNU Binutils) 2.24
Also, note that I merged your tree with Linus' tree up to today (commit 3cfb2f7976a2 "Merge tag 'pci-v4.0-fixes-3' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/helgaas/pci").
