Hi Rama,

Some wonderful docs to start of kernel programming. (in the same order):
1. The Linux Kernel Module Programming Guide - Peter Jay Salzman
2. Kernel Development 2ndEdn - Robert Love
3. The Linux Kernel - David A Rusling
4. Understanding the Linux kernel - O'Reilly pub - Cessati

Check out this link:
http://jungla.dit.upm.es/~jmseyas/linux/kernel/hackers-docs.html

You can get tonnes of stuff from net on kernel development.
