Subject[2.6 patch] drivers/char/: misc cleanups
Hi Andrew,

below are as requested my drivers/char/ cleanups in one big patch for
better merging.

Each of the patches included was already sent three times without any
objections to linux-kernel.

The n_tty.c patch is
