    XFS is doing peculiar things - xfs_setattr calls truncate_inode_pages()
    before running vmtruncate().

    xfs_setattr
    ->xfs_itruncate_start
    ->VOP_TOSS_PAGES
    ->fs_tosspages
    ->truncate_inode_pages
