Subject[2.6.2] buffer layer error at fs/buffer.c:430

Hi,
when booting an 2.6.2 on an PIII SMP/preempt i got this error.
All filesystems are ext3. Debian/sid - Kernel 2.6.2 vanilla
SMP/preempt. All block devices are on a HW Raid on a gdth.

As all block accesses seemed to have return an error the machine was
basically unusuable (9600 Serial Console) - SysRQ B worked - machine
booted into 2.4.25-pre. A forced fsck showed unclean journals but no
filesystem corruption.

Machine has run with 2.4 before for Months. Then it ran for 2-3 weeks
2.6.2 (This exact kernel) after which it ran on 2.4 for a couple days.

Config and boot log attached.
