I'm trying unsuccessfully to boot my dual processor athlon into an smp
V0.7.31-20 patched kernel, with PREEMPT_DESKTOP (has not booted
correctly with realtime preemption compiled in for a long time):

Tried booting with softirq-preempt=1 hardirq-preempt=0 with no change.

The matching uniprocessor kernel boots fine.
