I'm running kernel 2.6.9 fully preentible on a Slackware 10 with udev-040 ,hotplug 2004_09_23 and module-init-tools-3.0 I can reproduce a oops when I try, after unmounting the device, to disconnect or power off a Plextor PX-W4824 USB burner from a uhci_hcd host. When in X the machine hangs. My machine is a pentium 3 on a 440BX chipset.
No problem with kernel 2.6.7.
