pc hangs after cdrdao read-toc icotl on ATAPI
after performing cdrdao read-toc --driver generic-mmc --device /dev/hdd test.toc (as root) the pc hangs (not the case with 2.4.22)
cat /proc/version Linux version 2.6.1-rc3 (root@CBke) (gcc version 3.3.2 20031218 (Gentoo Linux 3.3.2-r5, propolice-3.3-7)) #1 Fri Jan 9 04:46:10 CET 2004
I used a self written cd (16 tracks AUDIO) and tested it on hdd: "ATAPI 48X CD-ROM drive, 128kB Cache, DMA"
the log from strace:
open("/dev/hdd", O_RDONLY|O_NOBLOCK) = 3 ioctl(3, 0x2202, 0) =0 close(3) open("/dev/hdd", O_RDWR|O_NONBLOCK) = 3 fcntl64(3, F_GETFL) = 0x8802 (flags O_RDWR|O_NOBLOCK|O_LARGEFILE) fcnt64(3, F_SETFL, O_RDWR|O_LARGEFILE) = 0 ioctl(3, 0x5382 0xbffff3d0) = 0 ioctl(3, 0x5386 0xbffff3cc) = 0 ioctl(3, 0x2282 0xbffff3d4) = 0 ioctl(3, 0x5382 0xbffff370) = 0 ioctl(3, 0x5386 0xbffff36c) = 0 ioctl(3, 0x2201 0xbffff264) = 0 fstat64(3, {st_mode=SIFBLK|0600,st_rdev=makedev(22,64,...}) = 0 ioctl(3, 0x2272, 0xbffff5c8 ) = 0 ioctl(3, 0x2275, 0xbffff5c4 ) = 0 ioctl(3, 0x2272, 0xbffff5c4 ) = 0 ioctl(3, 0x2272, 0xbffff5c8 ) = 0 ioctl(3, 0x2272, 0xbffff5c4 ) = 0 write(2 "Using libscg version shily_0.7) = 33 gettimeofday({1073656327, 811541}, NULL) = 0 ioctl(3, 0x2285
and there it stopped. I wrote this down on a peice of paper.
This happend everytime single time. my dmesg :
