Hi
I was running xawtv and started the pppd and fetchmail after pppd connected me to the internet. After fetchmail i started opera and i was waiting for opera window to map when i noticed that xsnow froze in the root window.
I rebooted with alt+sysrq+b and found in logs the contents of bug file (attached)
The kernel config, program versions and dmesg are attached also.
I also have the following customizations in rc.local:
echo 16384 >/proc/sys/vm/min_free_kbytes sysctl -w dev.rtc.max-user-freq=1024
Bye Calin
