SubjectNetwork broke between test4-bk4 and test4-bk5
Today I wanted to upgrade the kernel on my laptop from test2-mm2 to
test5-mm3, but networking was broken afterwards and rebooting doesn't
work anymore correctly (ie hangs on post afterwards).
After some recompiling fun, I tracked the first occurance of this
problem down to the change from test4-bk4 to test4-bk5.
Symptom is, that networking isn't working anymore, but looking at my
/proc/interrupts it seems, that interrupt 9 just doesn't work anymore.
Strangely the count is exactly 100000, everytime I boot.
Booting with acpi=off gets me to a working network, but then some other
devices aren't working properly (Wireless network).
I also tried adding noapic, nolapic, pci=noacpi to the command line, but
that didn't change anything.
Looking at the dmesg output, I see a 'interrupt 9 nobody cared - disabling
interrupt' uhci related backtrace starting from bk5.
I suppose because my nic is on the same interrupt, it won't get any further
interrupts.
Is there a way to get the single patches from the bk web interface?
Of interest would be the broken out diffs between 2-9-2003 4:27 (bk4)
and 3-9-2003 4:27 (bk5). Is it possible to get the changes between
these two dates?
Attached is my .config, dmesg output for bk4 and bk5, /proc/interrupts
for bk4 and bk5.
Hardware is a Sony SRX51P laptop.
Anything else of interest to debug this problem?

Thanks,

Jan
