SubjectStrange interrupt problem on 2.6.0-test3 (may be USB or core-related)
Hi everyone!

I've recently encountered a very strange problem with 2.6.0-test3 that
I believe is USB-related. Whenever I boot my Red Hat 9-based laptop into
runlevel 5 and log into X, the system goes haywire, with CPU utilization at
100% and no mouse pointer responsiveness. Switching to vt1 shows the following
message scrolling away at top speed:

unexpected IRQ trap at vector d0

Checking the syslog file I was able to save showed this message being repeated
over 14000 times, with no Oopses appearing at any point. I believe the problem
is USB-related when the message did not appear after logging into vt1 without
GPM running, since I use a Logitech MX700. Using Alt-SysRQ saved my
filesystems, but Alt-SysRQ-B hardlocked the system, forcing a full reset.

I can't easily follow the 2.6.0-testX development, so I haven't checked to see
what USB or other core-related patches have gone in lately, since I can say
that this did not happen around the 2.5.7[0-5] stage, IIRC. The system runs
fine with 2.4.21-ac4+nfpom (some Netfilter patch-o-matic patches).

Kernel dmesg:
