Subject2.5.69-mm9, CMD649 IDE controller 2nd IDE channel doesn't work
Hi,

I'm not sure if this is already a known problem - there's another CMD649
bug in bugzilla.kernel.org (bug 113) which might be the same issue. Maybe
this email might help track down the problem?

Anyway, I tried out 2.5.69-mm9 on a server here, and ran into problems
with the CMD649 initialisation. The full gory dmesg log is appended below.
The system booted but dropped into a recovery shell because partitions on
/dev/hdg could not be mounted. The CMD error messages complain of IRQ
problems; I tried booting again with 'pci=noacpi', but then the system
couldn't even find root on /dev/hde. (Sorry, no logs for this,
hyperterminal ate the serial console output:( )
