Subject2.5.64-bk7 alpha-smp build problems + patch
From

Hi all,
i have been trying to build 2.5.64 + bk7-patchset on my alpha
( dual EV67, DP264 ), which failed, giving this message:

[....]
gcc -Wp,-MD,arch/alpha/kernel/.smp.o.d -D__KERNEL__ -Iinclude -Wall -Wstrict-prototypes -Wno-trigraphs -O2 -fno-strict-aliasing -fno-common -pipe -mno-fp-regs -ffixed-8 -mcpu=ev6 -Wa,-mev6 -fomit-frame-pointer -nostdinc -iwithprefix include -Werror -Wno-sign-compare -DKBUILD_BASENAME=smp -DKBUILD_MODNAME=smp -c -o arch/alpha/kernel/smp.o arch/alpha/kernel/smp.c

For me, the following patch provides a successful build:

+++ linux-2.5.64bk7-kirk/arch/alpha/kernel/smp.c Wed Mar 12 17:29:08 2003

Can anybody more knowledgeable confirm/deny the above ?
