    I would recommend to replace /etc/mtab with a pseudo-FS like Sun did
    for /etc/mnttab:

    # uname -rs
    SunOS 5.8
    # mount -p
    ...
    mnttab - /etc/mnttab mntfs - no dev=39c0000
    ...
