We could do that, or, we could fix the actual problem, which is the
HUGE FUCKING BEARTRAP WHICH CATCHES EVERY SINGLE NEW PROGRAMMER ON THE
WAY THROUGH.

Not fixing earlier was criminal, not fixing it today is insane.
