The RH 2.4.7-9 kernels are based on the stuff Rik wanted to try in 2.4 that Linus played with, mixed with used once and then ignored chunks of. Think of it as 2.4.Rik VM but not rmap.
For the future we'll evaluate all sorts of options for our customers to see what is best to deliver - thats our job.
