SubjectRe: PROBLEM: sound is stutter, sizzle with lasts kernel releases
I am experiencing the same problem, but it is intermittent. Sound is
perfect for a while, until I run some large graphic intensive
application, eg. PCB design program. The sound then starts to sizzle
and it doesn't stop until I restart X. It doesn't help quitting the
program that caused the problem to occur.

My system is a 1.8GHz Pentium IV with Matrox and nVidea video cards (2
headed) with two large CRT screens for circuit design using xinerama.

All worked perfectly on kernel 2.4.18.

Somebody mentioned looking at the X configuration. I'll do that and
report back if I manage to find the cause.

Cheers,
