OK, something really strange is going on. If I take the exact same config file, and compile it with 2.5.40-mm1 and 2.5.40-mm2, the former works fine, the latter produces wierd borkedness for System.map (though it appears to boot & run just fine). This makes it very hard to do any profiling or oops tracing.
What the heck happened? I didn't reconfig for a 2/2 split or anything ... me confused. config file attatched.
