Hello !
I'm having serious problems running kernel 2.4.X SMP on a dual processor machine.
The processors are both PII at 300Mhz but different types(Deschutes and Klamath) and different steppings respectively 2 and 4.
The machine reboots immediately after IRQ redirection table is displayed.
With `noapic' kernel parameter(which i read should solve some problems) i got the same behaviour.
This seems to be a problem only with 2.4 kernel since that machine is succesfuly running on a 2.2.18 SMP kernel .
