The point I was trying to make was just "stop complaining about lack of drivers, contribute one or help someone else create one. I wasn't criticizing ALSA, rather the opposite. Now, if I could just find someone willing to program a driver for that old 8-bit, totally sucky, IBM ACPA/A I have (the only MCA sound adapter I have managed to get hold of...)
