SubjectOops in kswapd (2.4.14)

This is a well-loaded web server serving files off the root IDE disk and 
NFS. It lasted a week on 2.4.10 and 2.4.14 before nixing kswapd and going
haywire. There were several later oopses, but I would assume the death of
kswapd was a major part of those.

The system is a P3/750 and was rock solid on 2.2. The only disk is a WD
on a PIIX4. The NIC is an eepro100. The kernel was compiled on Debian
sid using "gcc version 2.95.4 20011006 (Debian prerelease)".
