SubjectRe: [PATCH] PnPBIOS additional fixes

Here's the "additional fixes" patch with some additional fixes.
(appended)

I've added checks of the return values of get_device_node() so
that the driver won't keep calling that function when it returns
an error. This should be safer. Stelian Pop has tested the
patch to confirm that it applies and runs cleanly on 2.4.10-ac4,
even if it unfortunately does not solve his BIOS-freaks-out-if-
asked-to-report-current-config problem.
