Subject2.4.12-ac3 reiserfs oops when unlinking large file
I've just got the following oops while unlinking a large file from a "full"
reiserfs partition. I'd created a large tarfile as a normal user which had
filled up the filesystem; I ran "rm backup.tar.gz", and it churned away for a
few seconds then oopsed (the rm died with a segfault). Further attempts to use
the filesystem hung. On reboot, the journal was replayed and the file
successfully removed.

Kernel version:
Linux cartman.azz.us-lot.org 2.4.12-ac3 #1 Sun Oct 21 04:41:43 BST 2001 i586
unknown

GCC 2.95.3, binutils 2.11.2.

Filesystem (after reboot and journal replay):
Filesystem 1k-blocks Used Available Use% Mounted on
/dev/hde2 18994648 18365944 628704 97% /20g

Extra modules loaded: mga_vid from MPlayer 0.50pre1, lirc_i2c from lirc 0.6.4.

The oops, decoded with ksymoops:

ksymoops 2.4.3 on i586 2.4.12-ac3. Options used
-V (default)
-k /proc/ksyms (default)
-l /proc/modules (default)
-o /lib/modules/2.4.12-ac3/ (default)
-m /usr/src/linux/System.map (default)

Warning: You did not tell me where to find symbol information. I will
assume that the log matches the kernel and modules that are running
right now and I'll use the default options above for symbol resolution.
If the current kernel and/or modules do not match the log, you can get
more accurate output by telling me the kernel version and where to find
map, modules, ksyms etc. ksymoops -h explains the options.
